Music has been a life long passion and it will continue to be a gift that I love sharing.

As an elementary school student I remember "performing" country songs with my girlfriends on the playground. We had an standing gig every year performing Shania Twain for our teachers in the lunchroom. It didn’t pay well, but the memories were worth every second.

Since then, music has been a huge part of my life. I was in the music program from the an early age and continued all through high school. I joined band along with everyone else in 5th grade and began playing flute. I played in band for 5 years including a year of marching and pep band, but vocal music was my true musical passion. 

Student Musician

I attended my first honor choirs in elementary and middle school and continued to attend honor choirs including Opus, Iowa State Honor Choir and All State through my high school years. I auditioned for and was selected to join the Concert Choir as a Freshman. At 16 I went on a tour of Europe with the Iowa Ambassadors of Music, performing in 7 countries over 2 weeks. I was involved in musicals all 4 years of high school which included parts as a band member in Guys and Dolls, Maureen in Honk!, Denise in The Baker's Wife, and Mayze in Seussical. I also had a supporting role in the community theatre production of High School Musical. I was involved in Show Choir for the first 2 years of high school and then was in the auditioned Jazz Choir, 5th Street Jazz, as a junior and senior. I competed in Solo and Ensemble Contest all 4 years in numerous groups and solo settings receiving I and II ratings consistently. I was a two-time member of the All State Honor Choir and the Iowa State Honor Choir. 

Community Performer

Outside of school, I participated in Community Choir and frequently sang at Church. I did solo and group performances at many locations around the area for varying functions. I participated in the Bill Riley Talent Contest, the Colgate Country Showdown and was a performer at the County Fair. I have sung at weddings, funerals, and other functions.

I have been singing the National Anthem for many years, and I very much enjoy it. I have performed at fairs, rodeos, ball games and auction functions. 

Most recently I had the opportunity to audition for the final season of American Idol. I made it to the celebrity round and was featured on an episode of the show. It was a great experience and I appreciate the opportunity to audition.

In 2015 I started performing gigs at local venues in Iowa including the Grape Life in Davenport, Music on Main in Solon and at the Cedar County Fair.
